Gouache on paper
Image: 16.5 x 21.5cm
This work was painted looking down into a little village out west, on an autumnal afternoon. The trees were just starting to turn and there was a crispness in the air. I like to half close my eyes to turn what I’m looking at into shapes of colour. It also ‘flattens’ out what I am looking, at, making it ‘tonal’ and I can lose the detail.
Framed in white with a ‘floating mount’, under glass. Each work is finished with D-hooks and coated picture wire, ready for hanging.
